Our Mission
The Norton Open is a prestigious invitational golf tournament filled with rich tradition and history. The tournament has been played on the hallowed grounds of Minneopa National Golf Club since the late 80's. It is on this unique challenging course that history is made year after year. The tournament is played on the third Saturday in May, and features a dominating field of hopefuls from around the nation vying for a chance to wear the elusive Green Jacket. The Bloody Mary bar is always open by 9:00 am with a traditional 11:00 A.M. tee-off. Play is predicated by the infamous Twigmaster 3000 Handicap Scoring System featuring its uncanny accurately correct no fail handicap rating. To all those invited and willing to accept the challenge of championship golf at it's finest, I commend you and will hoist one in your honor upon our meeting in Mankato.
